Abus Brass Padlocks


Abus Padlocks w/optional shackles Abus 83/45

The 83/45 padlock was the first lock in the 83 family introduced more than 5 years ago. It replaced the 80/45 and 81/45 by utilizing the "Z-Bar" which converts the padlock between key retaining and non-key retaining. Along those 5 years the 83/45 has constantly been improved to become the most popular brass re-keyable padlock with locksmiths everywhere.
Each 83/45 is shipped with the cylinder of choice and a 1" high steel shackle. Other shackle lengths need to be ordered separately.




Features of the 83/45 padlock include:

  • ISO 9002 certified production
  • Double ball bearing locked shackle for high tensile and torsion strength
  • Specially coated locking balls have been tested and found to resist rusting for months when     submersed in salt water
  • Stainless steel drive bolt spring
  • Automatic locking

An Easy shackle change feature is built into the drive bolt. The shackle can be changed without taking the lock apart. Simply turn the drive bolt 90 degrees and the shackle is removed.
